Drying for Desalination

Solid Picture

The run-off from rinsing the smoke passages of incineration apparatus and the exuded water from a burnt ash treatment site both have a high salt content. Traditionally, it used to demand a huge installation space and high costs to treat brine water with such high salt concentrations. On the contrary, the Okadora Cyclone Dryer is an epoch-making invention that desalinates brine with such a compact design and high heat efficiency that it is possible to save substantially on space and running costs required for desalination apparatus.

Direct Treatment of Brine Water

Regardless of the concentration of salt in the brine water, it is possible to introduce it directly into the dryer for desalination. The water from which the salt is separated becomes steam, which may be emitted safely into the atmosphere.

Exuded Water Treatment without Waste Water

The exuded water from the treatment of burnt ash landfill, which contains salt, is introduced into the cyclone dryer, where it is separated into solids and waste steam. The waste steam is then transported to the Teinenpi Deodorant Furnace, where, employing the direct burning system, the elements of smell, BOD and COD are treated by oxidizing decomposition. The clean steam can be emitted into the atmosphere.
